OCT East is a new sight in esten Shenzhen, it belongs DaMeI Sha, that means when you come Dameisha, you can come OCT East. It was a wonderful and impressed day in OCT East, although i travelled alone, just the coldness was boresome!

Walking the street of the outside gate, we see a beautiful rock stands there, it marks as " Knight Valley ".

Very soon, " OCT East" is displaied in your eyes, and you can see there are 3 sights : Knight Valley, Tea Stream Valley and Wind Valley.

Don't be confused, it is not OCT East yet. This is just a guider of the route. We need to walk 5 mores mins. I felt very cold on the way to the gate of the OCT East. It means, i would meet a very cold weahter in this travelling.

I realised that the designers of the OCT East are very thoughtful. Because, on that way, full of the beautiful rocks, and beautiful painting on rocks, they are called Rock Painting Plaza. We are already enjoied even don't go inside the Park.

It is not difficult to find the gate. Green bines, with spring festival lantern. Can you also see the brand of three Signt on the gate?

This is Tea Stream Valley, a place i visited primarily

The pleasantly surprised of snow has became disaster of snow! All the highway and most of railway, airport haveclosed off.

I have bought the air ticket, want to see this snow which never happened in 20 years. 8th Feb. is my flight date. God bless me, hope i can back hometown successfully!

Not long ago, a security officer noticed a curious phenomenon--a black swan held some food in its mouth and fed the gold fish in the water. In fact, every morning after ten o’clock, nine black swans in the lake craw onto a bamboo raft to feed the gold fish. After that, they go back into the water and swim away. Having finished their meal, the gold fish swim after the swans as if they were very close friends. Now these swans have become big stars and attracted many people and television stations to come and appreciate this heartwarming scene.

This instance i also discovered in Shenzhen Safari Park. When we visited a beautiful lake, some swans were very busy to take food for fish, they look so friendly. It was happy wonder we got in that Safari Pakr visiting.

Istanbul is a fascinating city. A city located between two continents, Europe and Asia. A city with 3000 years of history. A city between Western and Islamic culture. A city that was once the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. A city that was later the capital of tho Ottoman Empire. A rich city and a poor city. A city filled with people to rip you off your well earned money. A city of nice and hospitable people who are willing to help you.

You can see the amazing Hagia Sophia, a Church built by the romans in the 6th century - within less than 6 years, using a work force of more than 10.000 workers and 1000 skilled artisans. You can see the largest and most beautiful Mosques. You can see the splendid Topkapi palace with a blend of Western and Islamic architectures and decoration... and much more...

I have been there for a week, to enjoy seeing this marvellous and unique place. I will probably not come back to Istanbul again, but I have to really recommend this place to everybody. It's definitely worth seeing at least once in lifetime.

The beauty of Britain (Part II)

-----By J.B.Priestley

Though the geographical features of this island are comparatively small, and there is astonishing variety almost everywhere, that does not mean that our mountains are not mountains, our plains not plains. Consider that piece of luck of ours, the Lake District. You can climb with ease – as I have done many a time – several of its mountains in one day. Nevertheless, you feel that they are mountains and not mere hills – as a correspondent pointed out in The Times recently. This same correspondent told a story that proves my point. A party of climbers imported a Swiss guide into the Lake District, and on the first morning, surveying the misty peaks before him, he pointed to a ledge about two thirds of the way up one of them and suggested that the party should spend the night there. He did not know that that ledge was only and hour or two’s climb away and that before the light went they would probably have conquered two or three of these peaks. He had not realized the scale of the country. He did not know that he was looking at the mountains in miniature. What he did know was that he was certainly looking at mountains, and he was right, for these peak, some of them less than 3,000 feet high, have all the air of great mountains.

With variety goes surprise. Our is the country of happy surprises. You have never to travel long without being pleasantly astonished. It would not be difficult to compile a list of such surprises that would fill the next fifty pages, but I will content myself with suggesting the first few that occur to me. If you go down into the West Country, among rounded hills and soft pastures, you suddenly arrive at the bleak tablelands as if the North had left a piece of itself down there. But before you have reached them you have already been surprised by the queer bit of marshland, as if a former inhabitant had been sent to Cambridge and had brought his favorite marshland walk back from college with him into the West.

The Weald is another of them. East Anglia has a kind of rough heath country of its own that I for one never expect to find there and am always delighted to see. Then, after the easy rolling Midlands, the dramatic Peak District, with its genuine steep slopes, never fails to astonish me, for I feel that it has no business to be there. A car will take you all round the Peak District in a morning. It is nothing but a crumpled green pocket handkerchief. Again, there has always been something surprising to me about those cone-shaped hills that suddenly pop up in Shoeshine and along the Welsh border I have never explored this region properly, and so it remains its cone-shaped hills. Nevertheless, we hear of search parties going out there to find lost travelers. I could go on with this list of surprises, but perhaps you had better make your own..

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-12-23T13:29:58Z</dcterms:modified>

The Beauty of Britain - Part one

The Beauty of Britain - Part one

                        --J.B.Priestley
The beauty of our country-or at least all of its South of North Scotland - is as hard to define as it is easy to enjoy.
Remembering other and larger countries, we see at once that one of its charms is that it is immensely varied within a small range. we have here no vast mountain ranges, no boundless plains, no miles of forest, and are deprived of the grandeur that may accompany these things. But we have superb variety. A great deal of everything is packed into little space.

I suspect that we are always faintly conscious of the fact that this is a smallish island, with the sea always round the corner. We know that everything has to be neatly packed into a small space. Nature, we feel, has carefully adjusted things - mountains, plains, rives, lakes - to the scale of the island itself.

A mountain 12,000 miles long, a river as broad as the Mississippi. In America the whole scale is too big, except for aviators. There is always too much of everything. There you find yourself in a region that is all mountains, then in another region that is merely part of one immense plain. You down one valley. You can spend a long, hard day in the Rockies simply travelling up or down one valley. You can wander across prairie country that has the desolating immensity of the ocean. Eeverything is too big; there is too much of it.
